So, I spent yesterday afternoon listening to cannons roar and getting a sunburn while black powder smoke infiltrated my hair and skin. I love it! Here is one of the best photos I took.

Thank you! Just wish my batteries hadn't died. It's okay. DH had his new DSLR and was playing with high-speed bursts. He got a lot of nice shots too. Maybe I can talk him into letting me post them on Flickr so I can share.

excellent shot. As you say, it's hard to get those kind - even if you don't flinch you do need to be fast on the shutter button.

Standing at the end of the artillery line close enough to hear the commands helps a LOT. You're also close enough to feel the concussion from every shot too. I love it!
